Hi! I’m Nick Diliberto, the creator of Ministry to Youth.

I have over 20 years of experience in church leadership working with students, preteens and kids. Most of that time I was in a full-time role. I live in San Diego, and am married to Jena Diliberto & have three kids – Ethan (19, Joey (17) & Emma (15).

I am passionate about equipping church leaders to do ministry! Actually, that’s what I do full-time now…fun 🙂

Why Our Goal is to Save You Time & Money

We save youth ministry leaders time & money by creating year long curriculum, bundles, teaching series & game packs.

Before launching Ministry to Youth I was in full-time ministry for over 15 years.

Saving youth ministry leaders time is a personal thing for me, and here’s why…

Back in the early days of ministry, I was young and single. I spent just about all my time doing ministry related stuff: planning events, building relationships with students, coordinating weekend services, recruiting/training volunteers, etc.

I was also a full-time seminary student.

I had a passion for pointing students to Jesus and being a part of what God was doing in their lives.

I eventually graduated from seminary, fell in love with my wife Jena, got married and had three kids pretty close together in age (all about a year and a half apart).

Juggling the needs of a young family and ministry were difficult. I struggled for years with trying to balance the two.

About 5 years after graduating seminary, I took 1½ years off of full-time ministry and transitioned into another non-ministry job.

I nearly burnt out, and wasn’t sure if I would ever return to full-time ministry. My inability to set boundaries and find ministry/family/life balance took a big toll on myself and family. That toll was a 100% on me and I owned it.

God was faithful. He wasn’t done with me yet. I spent that year and a half growing, learning, healing, and developing a healthy work/life balance that would serve me for the rest of my life.

An opportunity came up, and I was ready to go back into full-time ministry. So, I went for it.

I learned a lot about self-care, myself, and God during my time off, and I was able to maintain ministry/family/life balance in my new ministry role.

Worst case scenario is that you burn out due to an overly busy schedule. Best case scenario is you’re not as effective in ministry as you could be. And somewhere in between is the anxiety and stress that wears you down because “you never have enough time to get everything done.”

So, when we launched Ministry to Youth back in 2014…I knew a big thing we were going to do is save youth leaders time. We save you time because you don’t have to create youth ministry lessons and games from scratch.

And of course, our 1 year curriculum and bundles save you lots of money.

Over the years our audience has grown quite significantly. Our website now reaches over 100,000 people a month. We send out weekly emails to over 120,000 youth/kid’s leaders, and our Facebook page has over 30,000 followers. We’re humbled and excited to help so many youth & children’s ministry leaders save time and money.

About Our Team

We have an ever changing and growing team of writers, editors, and graphic designers who create our free youth group lessons/games and the resources for purchase in our online store.

Our writing team consists of youth ministry leaders like you. They come from all types of churches, big and small, and all types of denominations and non-denominations.

Hi Nick, I was wondering if you know of any organizations that collect and redistribute used Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Nursery School and Gospel story materials?

        Hi Christine,
We do not know of any off-hand. If you check with your local homeschool resale stores, they might have what you are looking for.

I was asked by 3 teachers to cover for their classes in the same day. I home school 3 children and they are used to my “tricks”. Finding this site was a God send! I am SO looking forward to springing these wonderful ideas on the kids! I burst out laughing when I read one of them (Noodle Jousting). That alone has their curiosity piqued. I thank God for folks like you who, are not only passionate about training up a child in the way he should go, but are also willing to share it with others. May God bless and multiply.

I’ll be honest, usually when I am surfin’ the web for good devotionals and games for my youth group, I’m left feeling hopeless knowing that everything I find isn’t relevant enough or engaging enough for my youth. BUT THIS SITE IS AWESOME. You guys do a phenomenal job of connecting scripture to relevant topics for youth to connect to and apply to their own stories. And for free?! What a blessing! Keep doing what you’re doing!!
Thanks so much and God bless.
    Peace,
    Heidi

Hey Nick, I hope you have a fantastic Thanksgiving this year!

I appreciate everything you do for this website. It is already helped me tremendously in my ministry as a youth pastor.

The big things in my ministry that I want to focus on his mission work. I was wondering if you knew of a good website that had testimonies of Christians all around the world who have little to nothing but continue to show praise and worship to God. I’m wanting to show clips and testimonies as part of my gratitude lessons for the next couple weeks To hopefully inspire my youth to have that debacle attitude such as Joseph, Job, and Paul.

    Thanks for your time,
    Kent Kirby

I really like what you are doing here. I am interested in knowing if you have anything developing for youth AND parent study/activities together. I am sensing that “family fun night” is more common among “Gen Z”, and hanging with family, than the trend to merely have “youth group”. Also, communication between Adult/Teen in these activities can be really hellpful, I feel. Please let me know if you have – or if you can guide me where to look. God’s Blessings to you!

I would like to teach the silent charades remix tomorrow – what kind of props to use?

      • October 15, 2017

Hi Jill! The props can really be anything that you can find lying around the church or place that you meet. After collecting the items, you would compose a list of words or phrases that the props can be used to demonstrate.

For example, if you had a light bulb and a hat, you could write down the phrase “put on your thinking cap”. The students would use the props, act out the phrase, and let the other students guess the phrase.

      I hope that helps!

I just want to say I appreciate your ministry. I want to ,take a minute to, tell you how much you help me. I am not a student pastor. I teach a bible study in a youth prison. Everything I do comes out of my own pocket. Therefore, to buy lessons all the time is not an option for me. As the years have past, I have had to come up with my own ideas. I babysit, also for free, and that takes up my day. I go to your site on those days that I am praying that God will help me have enough time to get my study together. Because of your ministry I am able to use some of your lessons as a foundation. What used to take me 4-6 hours of preparation. Now takes only an hour or two. I just want to say thank you.

However, when I am trying to download the February curriculum, which should have been released on Jan 1st, it says my order number cannot be found.
