Want a quick children’s ministry game that’s messy, fun, and points kids to God’s goodness? This candy filled challenge is a guaranteed hit.

GAME: WHIPPED CREAM CANDY SCOOP

Setup: Fill a tray with whipped cream and hide several wrapped candies inside. Place an empty bowl a few feet away. Give each player a spoon.

Challenge: Players have 1 minute to dig through the whipped cream with their spoon, scoop out candies, and race to drop them in the empty bowl. No hands allowed!

How to Play: You can play it up front with only a few kids participating, or you can play relay style. If you play relay style, only allow 30 seconds per player and add more candy to the pile of whipped cream.

Scoring: The player (or team) with the most candy in their bowl wins. Warning: things will get sticky and messy (and hilarious).

Tip: If kids have a tough time scooping the candy with spoons, let them use their hands.

BIBLE TAKEAWAY

Read Psalm 34:8: “Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.”

Takeaway: Just like you had to dig through the messy whipped cream to find candy, sometimes life feels messy. But God’s goodness is always worth finding – it’s sweeter than any candy and lasts forever.

(End Lesson.)
