CHILDREN’S MINISTRY FALL ACTIVITY

Here’s a fun Fall activity to do in your Children’s Ministry or Children’s Church.
Opening Fun
Hand each child a blank sheet of paper and crayons/markers. Have them draw a big leaf (or provide leaf templates).
Ask: What’s your favorite thing about fall? (pumpkin pie, football, crunchy leaves, sweaters, etc.)
Let a few share.
Activity – “Falling Leaves Toss”
Write different things kids might worry about (school, friends, family, tests, etc.) on paper leaves (you can make them ahead of time or let kids brainstorm and write them).
Put a big basket or box in the center labeled “God’s Hands.” Kids take turns tossing their “worry leaves” into the basket, saying aloud: “God, I give you [whatever is written on the leaf].”
Bible Lesson Tie-In
Read Ecclesiastes 3:1: “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
Say: Just like seasons change, summer to fall, life has different seasons too. Some are fun and exciting, some are hard. But in every season, God is with us. Just like the leaves fall, we can let go of our worries and trust God to take care of us.
Ask: What’s something you need to “let fall” into God’s hands today?
Kids can write or draw one last “leaf” to keep and take home as a reminder.
Close in prayer.
(End Lesson.)
