Below are 4 prayer activities for middle school students.

Heads up that this is a follow up from the Three Prayer Stations we posted a few months ago.

Supplies:

  • Print this PDF, which has a question and Bible verse for each of the four prayer activities
  • Index cards and pens

Setup:

  • Create four areas of the room with an area for students to sit, reflect and pray.
  • Put out index cards and pens at each location.
  • Display the reflection question and Bible verse in each area.
  • Optional: Play soft worship music in the background.

Instructions:

  • Allow students to go to each activity one at at time, read the refection question, and the related Bible verse.
  • Pray to God about each situation they’re facing.
  • Give students a total of about 12-20 minutes to complete all four activities.

Reflection Questions & Bible Verses:

Note: These are included in the above PDF link.

  1. What are you anxious or stressed about? (Philippians 4:6-7)
  2. What are you angry about? (Psalm 86:15-16)
  3. What are you glad about? (Romans 15:13)
  4. What are you sad about? (Psalm 4:5)

We did these four prayer activities in our middle school ministry awhile back, and it was a big hit. Students were locked in and enjoyed the space to pray about each situation. There were all so grateful to slow down and connect with God.
